We first published the Government Design Principles in 2012. We’ve made regular iterations since then, and the principles themselves remain as central to our work as they did when they were first created.

As a result, at some point the original set of posters we designed for them fell out of date, so we’ve made some new ones. You can download them here.

Each poster was designed by a different designer who regularly does graphic design work at GDS with overall creative direction from our former head of design Lou Downe, while I handled the art direction and a final bit of artworking for consistency.

Designers: Mia Allers, Laurence Berry, Lou Downe, Ralph Hawkins, Mark Hurrell, Stephen McCarthy, Christopher Thomas, Michael Thomas, Alex Torrance, Sonia Turcotte.
